Writing has been low and sporadic the past year and a half, but I am so happy I can finally share this piece with you!
“And the Daisies Were to Blame” is a liminal, melancholic love story told on a train ride to the seaside. This is one of the few pieces I wrote in Romanian first, and retaining the atmosphere in translation has been a very enjoyable challenge, but a challenge nonetheless!
It just so happens I’ve got two seaside-related stories coming out this year, and I’m glad they are coming out in this order: first the train ride, then the actual resort towns. This is by far the softer one of the bunch, so I hope you’ll enjoy it!
