Story time! “Seams of Iron” out now in The Future Fire!

Happy to announce that a reprint of my story, “Seams of Iron”, is now available to read online in The Future Fire!

Originally part of Common Bonds: An Aromantic Speculative Anthology, “Seams of Iron” is a partial retelling of H. C. Andersen’s “The Wild Swans”, which has to be one of my favourite fairy-tales growing up.

The best part, in my opinion, has always been the nettle-knitting, so follow Erin as she knits her way through an eleven-year curse, only to find respite and comfort at the literal edge of the world she knows.

“Seams of Iron” also happens to be the very first story I ever sold (in English or otherwise), all the way back in 2019, and I sincerely don’t know what trajectory my writing would’ve taken had I not got this confidence boost early on.

It’s a story that’s very dear to me, and so I’m happy to still see it out in the world, especially with these lovely illustrations by Katharine A. Viola (check them out at the link below, they’re beautiful!).

Happy reading!
